I was going to post an entry telling everyone how my computer blew itself up (not literally, but, you know, it might as well have done since I've never backed up any file in my life... ) and how I couldn't do my art and how my unfinished pictures on my computer would probably be lost for ever and so to expect another extended absence from me...

But now my computer has un-exploded itself. So yay, but at the same time, gah, no excuses for lack of art. So. I shall get back to work on stuff shortly, methinks. And then hooopefully people will have something to look at in this shoddy little gallery of mine.

By the gods, when did I last write in here? Someone needs to kick me off my lazy backside once in a while, or I'll just keep forgetting to turn up here... XD

Anywho, 'tis holidays, so with any luck I'll actually finish the pictures I started aaages upon aaaages ago.
...though judging by this past week, holidays have made me even lazier.

So. I have a little picture I whipped up in a very short space of time for a contest. I'll go upload that now. :3

Not that I noticed, anyway. Quite pointless, in my opinion. All I really got from it that I saw was thumbnails in my message centre and weird header and footer things for my journal which confused me. O_o;; Oh well.

I feel I really need to get back to my art, but at the same time I know I shouldn't touch it, I have so much to do this week, assignments, tests, competitions... and my mother finally returns from Russia on Thursday, so she'll be stealing my computer for a few days, limiting my time even more. And all the while I feel too tired and lazy to do anything substantial... I've been alone in this house for the past month or more, doing everything myself, I should get a holiday from school!

Oh, and I think I didn't mention before... I got a B on my 8th grade piano practical exam, so all I need now is to pass another level of music theory and I get to never look at music stuffs again unless I want to.

Note to self: think of plans for living with boyfriend. Sure, it won't happen for at least a year yet, but dreaming is far more productive than coordinate geometry and Celebrity studies. *stabs mathematics and English*

Essentially... I'm trying to draw a picture... or at least I was, until I realised that I need photo references, because I'm finding this impossible. >.<

Now, sure, I could drag someone in school away for a moment at lunch and take a snap with the digital camera... oh, no, sorry, that camera is currently in Russia, along with my mother.

So, please, if someone could get me a photo of a person in that position... preferably with some fabric draped over the arms to resemble the kimono... I will be grateful. In fact I'll draw you something. Maybe it'll even turn out well. I'll most certainly try. o_o

Shocking, isn't it? I actually still exist! *falls over from the suddenness of it all*

What's been going on life-wise: nothing much. Year 11 is piling on homework, I'm procrastinating, as per usual... And I'm spending far too much time with/talking about my boyfriend. *giggle*

Artwise: nothing much at all. I'm still doodling in class sometimes, but we've actually been doing WORK in class this year ( SHOCKHORROR) so not much time for that. And most of what I do draw is really, really... poor, to say the least. I need to learn to draw stuff without references, dammit.

So yes. In order to aid my improving (hopefully) I'll be running some custom equine auctions on Gaia Online... Bump my threads, please?

Note to self: try not to fall into the habit of updating this gallery in the same way as Elfwood - once a year.
